Nancy V. Sims has resided in the Arts District in Hyattsville, MD for 11 years. Until then, she lived in her native Washington, DC, where she mothered three now-professional daughters. She continues to enjoy her six grandchildren. Nancy’s artistic abilities surfaced at a tender age. As a little girl she loved designing greeting cards for her Mother. Nancy is principally a self-taught artist, who enriched her skills through coursework at the Corcoran School of Art, Federal City College (now UDC), and in later years, the Art League School of Alexandria. Nancy recently retired from 40 years of work as a graphic artist.
