Biography

I have specialized in the figure for more than 30 years, mostly in watercolor, but also in such mediums as chalk and oil pastel, pen and ink, conte and clay-fired sculpture. My work has been exhibited in the Washington Metropolitan area and also in Pittsburgh, Pa. and Russia. I have studied at such local institutions as the Art League of Alexandria, the Corcoran, Washington Studio School, as well as workshops with such prominent watercolorists as John Salminen in Kenuga, North Carolina. I improve and change constantly, and my work is never the same. A list of my exhibits and other biographic material can be furnished upon request. The figure is the basic and most beautiful subject for artists. I believe like Robert Henri in the Art Spirit that, unlike the tongue, the figure never lies. My erotic art was featured in Art Business News and at the Sunshine Gallery in Pittsburgh, Pa. I also participated in the erotic show in Bristol Hotel of Washington DC in March 2004, sponsored by actor Paul Sorvino to raise money for the Asthma Foundation.
