Artist Profile

     I have studied primarily at The Art League, Alexandria, Virginia. Outstanding teachers there have given me the courage to "be different."  I have been accepted into juried shows at the Montpelier Arts Center, Laurel, Maryland, The Maryland Federation of Art, Annapolis, Maryland, Artworks at 7th, North Beach, Maryland and The Art League, Alexandria monthly juried shows and Gallery 75 located in the Torpedo Arts Center, Alexandria, Virginia. I participate with the Hyattsville Community Arts Alliance and the Annapolis Arts Alliance on an ongoing basis.

     Acrylic painting is my choice of medium. I also create assemblages using found objects, my favorites incorporate vintage bottle openers.

     Abstract themes find their way into my work, along with depictions of humorous animals, humans and objects. I often inject my works with contemporary discordant objects to provide an element of amusement for the viewer.
